Bonded Fibre Matrix

Please click on the below presentation:

The application of a seed, fertilizer, wood fibre, and binder slurry using a specially built Hydroseeding Unit. The amount of wood fibre is increased from the normal Hydramulching rate of 2000 kg/Ha to 6000kg/Ha, together with increased binder. This gives a thick “mat” of fibre that protects against erosion and also provides an excellent moisture retaining bed to assist seed germination.
This unit incorporates the seed, fertilizer, wood fibre, and binder in a slurry mixture with water, and then sprays the slurry on the area to be treated via a high pressure pump system.

Bonded Fibre Matrix is suitable for erosion prone surfaces, friable surfaces, and steep banks. It is an excellent method of dust and particle suppression.

Expected Growth
Growth is generally faster than for Hydramulching, but again is dependant upon local rainfall.

Relative Cost
This method is more expensive than hydramulching, due to the increased volume of wood fibre and binder.
